Job Description:

  • The client’s Immunization Registry has transitioned to a new Immunization Information System and has an emergent need for an individual to provide help-desk support and train end users. 
  • This contractor will be responsible for answering questions from end users regarding the use of the Pennsylvania Immunization Electronic Registry System (PIERS) both by phone and via email. In addition, this contractor will be responsible for training new and existing end users both in-person and through live on-line trainings. This contractor will assist in creating and updating training materials.
  • The primary objective of this engagement is to provide help desk support to end users of the Pennsylvania Immunization Electronic Registry System (PIERS) across the Commonwealth, as well as developing training tools. This individual will also provide education and training to internal Commonwealth PIERS users as well as update the PIERS website with new and updated materials. The contractor will work directly with the registry supervisor, manager, registry specialists, and other contracted staff during this assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide PIERS help desk support by responding to inquiries via phone and email

Job Description:

  • The client is seeking a short-term IT Project Manager-Expert to lead the implementation of multiple web-based and/or low-code applications.
  • The applications will be developed by either vendors or in-house development teams.
  • Ability to adapt working style to ensure compliance with the State’s and client’s methodologies; demonstrated experience with waterfall, agile, and hybrid methodologies; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and ability to work independently and proactively with attention to detail are requirements of this position.
  • This position reports to the Project Portfolio Manager for the assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building and obtaining approval of business cases for new projects through stakeholder and market analysis, cost/benefit analysis, project schedule estimates.
  • Responsible for implementing medium to large-sized project(s) of moderate to high complexity and risk.
  • Responsible for managing the dependencies of the IT project that extends to multiple divisions and external entities.
  • Responsible for working directly with senior level executives, IT personnel, business program, and external resources such as local stakeholders to analyze and execute project requirements and manage stakeholder expectations. Establish, manage, and execute thorough communications plans for project stakeholders.
  • Work with business, IT and the selected vendor or in-house development team to complete implementation of the project.
  • Serve as scrum master for internal agile development projects.
  • Responsible for the leadership, direction and oversight of the project team(s) and of all vendor-related activities tied to the project and report to senior portfolio and executive management.
  • Work hand-in-hand with development team(s) to manage project milestones and critical dates to identify potential risks and impacts that could jeopardize project schedule. Identify ways to resolve schedule issues. Keeps management aware of the situation.
  • Support the Contract Administrator by performing vendor management and ensuring that that vendor deliverables are reviewed and approved by the appropriate team members to support invoice validation activities.
  • Develop all project management artifacts following the practices and guidelines from the PMI’s PMBOK, the client’s PM Methodology, and State of NC project methodology, developing the detailed project budget, tracking expenditures, developing and maintaining project management and other plans, performing regular status reports, ensure that all required project documentation is developed and maintained.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities for the project including ensuring the quality of the deliverables; monitoring and controlling project risks, cost, and schedule; tracking project expenses and determining if these are within the allocated budget; tracking action items and decisions needed; and managing project changes.
  • Complete all input to the State project portfolio management tool (based on Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint) and the online project notebooks (SharePoint).
  • Manage internal and external relationships (agency, federal, vendor, other State agencies, community-based providers and other external stakeholders) and dependencies across all workstreams to ensure successful delivery of the project.
  • Assist the business in managing procurement efforts through the development of procurement documents such as Requests for Proposals, Statements of Works for State Term Contracts, Requests for Quotes, etc.; write content related to project scope, project management, technical requirements and tasks, and maintenance activities; and perform administrative and documentation tasks during bid evaluation, contract negotiations, and award approval processes.

Behavioral Health Claims Review Nurse

Summary:
The Registered Nurse will utilize standard criteria to review post-service and prepayment reviews of Outpatient Behavioral Health claims.  The nurse will utilize HCPC Codes to ensure claims are being charted for correct processing of Arizona Medicaid requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs clinical/medical reviews of retrospective medical claim reviews, medical claims and previously denied cases, in which an appeal has been submitted, to ensure medical necessity and appropriate/accurate billing and claims processing.     
  • Identifies and reports quality of care issues.
  • Assists with Complex Claim review including DRG Validation, Itemized Bill Review, Appropriate Level of Care, Inpatient Readmission, and any opportunity identified by the Payment Integrity analytical team; requires decision making pertinent to clinical experience
  • Documents clinical review summaries, bill audit findings and audit details in the database
  • Provides supporting documentation for denial and modification of payment decisions                                                                               
  • Independently re-evaluates medical claims and associated records by applying advanced clinical knowledge, knowledge of all relevant and applicable Federal and State regulatory requirements and guidelines, knowledge of client policies and procedures, and individual judgment and experience to assess the appropriateness of service provided, length of stay and level of care.
  • Identify problems or needed changes, recommends resolution, and participates in quality improvement efforts.
  • Provide accurate documentation.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships between the business and the provider community.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Arizona or a Compact License.
  • 2+ years of clinical Behavioral Health experience (acute care hospital or Outpatient Clinic setting)
  • 2+ years chart review experience (UM/UR, clinical review, quality review)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working remotely.
  • Behavioral Health Claims review (post-payment and prepayment)
  • Working knowledge of outpatient BH HCPCs codes (ex. H0004, H2017, S9480, etc.)
  • Strong computer skills using tools like MS Teams, Sharepoint, Office, EMR, etc…
