Environmental Compliance Coordinator *This is an onsite position
Description:
Ensures company compliance with environmental, chemical, waste management, and permit regulations at various Virginia/North Carolina locations and project construction sites associated with Electric Transmission operational teams.
Share responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of work sites, to comply with regulatory and company Environmental, Health and Safety standards and procedures.
Communicate and prepare reports for submittal internally, externally, to governmental agencies and customers.
Support the client and contracted staff, inspect, or assess, and provide recommendations regarding environmental compliance issues to personnel responsible for compliance tasks and management.
Provide environmental training to site personnel in handling of chemicals and waste materials, spill prevention, erosion, and sediment control and for other environmental compliance topics and requirements.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Understanding of erosion and sediment control and stormwater management, as it relates to the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
Ability to interpret and/or apply environmental requirements to company operations and translate regulatory regulations, permit, and plan requirements into compliance guidance.
Knowledge of related environmental regulations and applicable environmental requirements for multimedia environmental scope and permits.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Understanding of other environmental regulations and requirements like Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC), National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), Hazardous Waste and Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), Superfund and Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA), Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC).
Offshore environmental training (Eastern Virginia/North Carolina only).
Other licenses/certifications: CESSWI, HAZWOPER 40, Certified Hazardous Materials Handler, International Society of Arborists, Lead/Asbestos, Pesticides.

Database Administrator *This is a hybrid position with 3 days/week onsite
Description:
Looking for 8+ years of experience with data base administration and server migration expertise.
Tech stack: Windows server 2019/2022, MS SQL 2017 & above, familiarity w/Azure Cloud Services, MS Office suite, UNIX
Hands on experience with database administration tasks as needed for SPAA owned dbs.
Responsibilities:
Identify improvements for dbs/servers and work with team to implement them.
Design, deploy and support databases changes/updates/enhancements.
Experience with prod and non-prod environment standards when deploying changes to respective environments.
Managing the database availability and performance, including incident and problem management.
Administering database objects to achieve optimum utilization.
Defining and implementing event triggers that will alert on potential database performance or integrity issues.
Performing database housekeeping, such as tuning, indexing, etc.
Monitoring usage, transaction volumes, response times, concurrency levels, etc.
Identifying reporting, and managing database security issues, audit trails, and forensics.
Designing database backup, archiving, patching and storage strategy.
Monitoring Scheduled Database Tasks
Server Maintenance and Monitoring:
Performing routine maintenance tasks such as installing software updates and patches as per DE enterprise standards.
Monitoring server performance and resource utilization and troubleshooting issues to ensure servers operate efficiently and reliably.
Support server upgrades, server migrations as per team needs.
Automatic File Transfer (AFT) Configuration for Fault Analysis team
Read communication functional drawings to identify relays the team communicates with
Using control drawing updates, identify network communication changes at substations that impact connections and require reconfiguration
Create necessary AFT files for new substations
Make updates to relay types, IP addresses, and other changes to ensure continued AFT operations.
Communicate upcoming access changes to System or Regional Operations in advance of relay alarms
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Database administration
Sever Maintenance and Monitoring
Ability and willingness to learn the nice to have skill set below, if they dont have that experience already
Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Experience with substation relaying, reading control drawings, and maintaining network communication Automatic File Transfer (AFT) configuration files
Soft Skills:
Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with a local team of engineers and computer programmers, and to communicate with remote field technicians.
Education:
2 or 4-year degree in computer science.
