Project Scheduler
*Local to Surry, VA preferred

Description:

  • Develop Power Station and Capital Project schedules for multiple sites/outages/projects for Power Generation.
  • Create cohesive work schedules by working closely with Project Management, Station Management, Outage Management, other departments, and various contractors responsible for short and long term project planning and emergent plant outages.
  • Must be able to create schedules utilizing a variety of scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, SAP, Microsoft Project, etc.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • MUST have minimum of 3 years directly related work as a project/outage scheduler in a nuclear setting.
  • MUST have prior experience in a project with the past 5 years using Primavera P6
  • MUST have nuclear experience.
  • MUST have experience and knowledge of using scheduling techniques to include Critical Path management, resource management/leveling, pert charts, cost management, etc.
  • MUST have shown experience in translating plans to schedules
  • Detailed knowledge of work control processes.
  • Strong Project Management techniques and skills.
  • Skilled in leading and fostering cooperation without formal authority.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all projects are executed with Safety and Environmental Compliance as the primary focus of all personnel supporting his/her projects.
  • Provide Project Management with current and accurate project schedules. Develop and be willing to provide recommendations to improve project schedules and project planning standards. Help coordinate work and resources with various station/department groups, and meet with vendors and supervisors, as necessary, to ensure that requirements and work needs are being addressed.
  • Keep the schedules current and accurate by going to the jobs to check on their statuses
  • Utilize various scheduling techniques to include Critical Path management, resource management/leveling, pert charts, cost management, etc. as requested.
  • Identify requirements and conduct planning and scheduling meetings with various departments to ensure that scheduling activities are properly identified, integrated and resources leveled. Prepare, conduct, and lead project meeting discussions to communicate scope and schedule status in an organized and professional atmosphere.
  • Maintain and analyze work progress and effectiveness within and in accordance with the schedule. Review compliance with project planning (capital budget) schedules, plan job steps for work execution in SAP, utilizing applicable permits in the planning process to include correct account coding (if applicable). Track purchase requisitions and deliveries if directed by the Project Manager.
  • Develop reports indicating activities scheduled by shift, progress, milestone status, daily and weekly objectives, projected completion, earned value, etc. and provide Project Management progress updates and projections for management teams. Trend critical path activities. Develop and maintain standard project schedules.
  • Conduct job walk downs prior to schedule development. Accountable for meeting Project Management and plant safety goals. Conduct job observations, housekeeping observations, and report hazards or other issues.
  • Develop effective system processes and standards to be followed at all locations for scheduling techniques and reporting formats. Incorporate improvement techniques in future procedures and plans.

  • Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

  • Required 3+ years of direct related experience

Electrical Engineer 3

Description:

  • The client is looking for a STAFF Electrical Engineer to support the Circuit Design organization in San Diego, CA.
  • Statement of work includes providing leadership and mentoring in addition to being an individual performer with responsibilities including but not limited to detailed electrical mixed circuit design, circuit level analysis, support qualification testing, preparing of test procedures and reports, LabView design, and supporting hardware production manufacturing.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering with 12 years of relevant experience; OR masters in electrical engineering with 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with schematic capture and board layout using Altium Designer.
  • Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot/repair mixed circuit CCAs.
  • Experience with test equipment such as multimeter, O-scope, signal generator, DC/AC power supplies, and network analyzer.
  • Experience with design, development, and troubleshooting of NI LabView and NI Teststand Software.
  • Experience with IPC and Military standards.

Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on mixed circuit design.
  • Experience using FPGA, CPLD and micro-controllers.
  • Experience with development and design of automated test equipment.
  • Experience with OrCAD, Pspice, LTspice, or MATLAB Simulink for circuit simulation.
