Staff Auditor

The Staff Auditor will perform reviews of Medicaid provider cost reports, analyze healthcare provider financial information, perform reimbursement calculations, and prepare written documents supporting professional decisions.

 Essential Functions:

Requirements:

  • Conduct desk reviews of healthcare providers
  • Conduct research in order to determine billing and reimbursement compliance with relevant Medicaid or other government program regulations
  • Conduct all phases of the review including planning and research, risk assessment, review, reporting of findings, and other procedures as required
  • Review applicable Federal and State policies and regulations associated with each specific audit type prior to performing the audit
  • Prepare working papers to document the scope and findings of the audit in accordance with Medicaid or other government program regulations and AICPA standards
  • Demonstrate excellence in communication skills, data gathering, analysis, reporting, and process improvement
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of all protected health information when analyzing material
  • Maintain thorough electronic documentation
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required; Master’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum GPA of 3.25 preferred
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
  • Internship or equivalent working experience in accounting or a related field preferred
  • Medicare or Medicaid cost reporting experience is highly desired
  • Experience with health care auditing and data analysis is highly desired
  • Ability to review statutory/regulatory or other policy language and apply requirements
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong investigative or compliance review skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
  • Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel, Access, etc.)
  • Travel is required throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia up to 50%

Natural Gas Analyst

Job Description:

As a Natural Gas Analyst you will be a vital member of the transportation services team within a leading energy company. Your role will encompass various aspects of transportation duties requiring high attention to detail while multi-tasking and analytical problem-solving skills while providing superior customer service.
 

Essential Functions:

  • Analytical and Problem Solving: Analyzes and processes natural gas nominations in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately performs daily processes on multiple electronic bulletin boards EBBs within the natural gas transportation nomination confirmation and scheduling timelines.
  • Uses analytic methods and tools to perform capacity allocation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel Outlook.

Customer Facing and Liaison:

  • Serves as a point of contact for external customers regarding transportation related inquiries.
  • Regularly communicates with interconnecting pipeline representatives to resolve pipeline discrepancies.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders including operations accounting marketing and IT.
  • Performs testing of our proprietary EBB application as needed.

Communication and Teamwork:

  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility to the team.
  • Participates in and conducts peer training and knowledge sharing within the team to foster continuous process improvement.

Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s plus 0-2 years of experience
  • Ability to perform data analysis and data entry.
  • Ability to define problems collect data and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively establish rapport and speak persuasively.
  • Ability to negotiate problem solutions.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Must be reliable and consistently demonstrate high quality work.

THESE POSITIONS WILL BE ON A ROTATIONAL SCHEDULE!

The contractors will be on a rotational schedule and will know their schedules months in advance. They will have to be able to work any and all schedules including holidays.

This is a team of /- 20 who all rotate schedules and work onsite. The management team is flexible whereby they allow the team members to change schedules with one another when necessary. Overtime is allowed but not required.

Timeframes for work are – Weekdays 8:30-4:30 and 3:00-11:00
Weekends 8:00-5:00 2:00-10:00 and 3:00-11:00
