Bonder Metal or Composite 1

Description:

  • Bonds a variety of dissimilar materials (composite, metal, or laminate) assemblies, parts, skins, components, equipment, or structures into semi-finished or finished products.
  • Lays out articles, and cuts parts or materials to size.
  • Applies liquid or solid bonding agents.
  • Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete bonding cycle.
  • Controls conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used.
  • Sands, burrs, and smoothes over areas, apply sealing resins to cut or expose edges.
  • Monitors and verifies the quality of the finished product.
  • Completes repairs on composite, metal, or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions.
  • Verifies the quality of the finished product.

 

Hard Skills Required:

  • Fabricate composite components/tools, which may include bond prep, tool prep, ply kit generation, lamination, vacuum bagging, de-molding, trimming, finishing, core fabrication, and bond work

 

Experience:

  • 3-5 Years (Intermediate)
  • A composite laminator or composites technician who has worked in aerospace, space,  or automotive.

 

Education:

  •  High school diploma

 

Duration: 6-month contract with a potential to go permanent.

5/40, 9/80 or 4/10: 9/80

Hours: 1st shift and 2nd  shift. 1st shift hours are 5:00 AM to 2:42 PM. 2nd shift hours 2:30 PM to 12:00 AM

Description:

  • Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
  • Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
  • May conduct quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

 

Top 3-5 Skills / Technologies and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ Years of Assembly-related Operation
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving techniques, and Communication.
  • Ability to read and understand Operating Procedures
  • US Citizenship Required

Background Experience:
