Are you ready to put your experience to work? If so, our Aeronautics Systems sector is currently seeking Composite Laminator 1 based in El Segundo, CA. This role is for a hands-on person with great attention to detail, top focus on quality, and excellent people skills

Job Functions:

  • Fabricate composite parts, which may include bonding prep, tool prep, ply kit generation, lamination, vacuum bagging, de-molding, trimming, and part handling
  • Handle perishable materials, paying close attention to expiration dates, out time life, and traceability information
  • Follows all planning, visual aids, and process work instructions.
  • These instructions, in combination with part-specific tooling, are used to fabricate composite parts and bonded assemblies.
  • Operate handheld tools. (e.g.) Scissors, razor knives, grinders, drills, sanders, cutting wheels, etc.
  • Excels in a team environment, supports other departments, or completes other duties as necessary
  • Work in both FOE-critical and FOE-sensitive environments and observe all related safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Basic Qualification:

  • High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of composite manufacturing/fabrication experience or approved composites certificate program.
  • Basic computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Must be able to perform moderately strenuous physical and repetitious work including bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work flexible/changing schedules including weekends.
  • Ability to work in El Segundo, CA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Composite fabrication experience in an aerospace, military, manufacturing, and/or maintenance environment
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability and ability to work under limited supervision
  • Be able to operate autoclave and curing ovens
