Senior Software Engineer
*This is a hybrid position
Description:
- The client is looking for a Information Technologist who will be working with the latest technology to modernize software product production with DevSecOps – continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, continuous cyber, continuous deployment, and continuous metrics on aerospace programs.
- Specifically, you will be responsible for the design, architecture, development, deployment, and operation of modern DevSecOps software factory.
- You will work?with multi-disciplinary teams,?such as with?Systems Engineering,?Real-time & Embedded Software, Test Automation, DevSecOps, and Systems Test in an Agile software development environment.?
Responsibilities:
- Conduct trade study and analysis of alternatives for end-of-life peer review product
- Lead a cross functional team to prototype solution and gain stakeholder buy-in
- Productionize replacement for end-of-life tool
- Define and migrate existing teams to the tool
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline AND 14 years of related professional/military experience in Software Engineering to include a background in the agile development lifecycle, OR a Master’s degree AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Software Engineering to include a background in agile development lifecycle, OR a Ph.D. AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Software Engineering to include a background in agile development lifecycle
- Must have experience with peer review tools such as Atlassian Crucible
- Must have experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Python, Swift) and software development lifecycle
- Must have experience with one of the following change management tracking system tools: Jira, ClearQuest, Asana
- Must have experience with one of the following continues integration tools: Bamboo, Jenkins, Gitlab, Bamboo
- Must have experience with one of the following configuration management systems: GIT, GitLab, Bitbucket, Subversion
Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Certification with cloud technology (AWS, VMWare, Azure, Kubernetes) at the architect level
- Experience with using AI to improve peer review quality
- Experience with architecting cloud solution
- Active Secret DoD Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
- Current Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
