Senior Microsoft Power Platform Developer (SQL Server)

Description:
Seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Power Platform Developer with strong SQL Server expertise to lead the design, development, and governance of low-code applications, automation solutions, and enterprise data platforms. This hybrid role combines Power Platform development with database design, administration, and integration responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building scalable business applications, automating processes, managing SQL environments, and delivering secure, enterprise-grade solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, and Dataverse.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with SQL Server, Microsoft 365 services, cloud platforms, APIs, and external systems.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases, including schema design, performance tuning, and database optimization.
- Create and maintain stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and ETL processes.
- Design enterprise-ready data models and secure integrations between applications and databases.
- Implement governance, application lifecycle management (ALM), and environment management strategies for Power Platform solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, security, compliance, and performance across applications and databases.
- Troubleshoot Power Platform issues, workflow failures, application errors, and database performance challenges.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Support modernization, automation, cloud adoption, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Follow best practices for security, governance, and enterprise application development.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) certification or higher.
- Experience with Power BI, dataflows, and enterprise reporting solutions.
- Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Experience with Azure SQL and cloud-based database solutions.
- Experience supporting enterprise automation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience implementing governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Microsoft Power Platform development and implementation experience — 7+ years.
- Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse — 7+ years.
- Proficiency with Power Virtual Agents and related Power Platform technologies — 7+ years.
- Strong SQL Server development and database management experience — 7+ years.
- Knowledge of SQL database structures, relational database concepts, and data modeling — 7+ years.
- Experience integrating applications with databases, APIs, cloud services, and third-party systems — 7+ years.
- Expertise in T-SQL development, query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.
- Experience managing SQL Server environments, including on-premises and cloud-based deployments.
- Understanding of data governance, security roles, access controls, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills — 7+ years.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills — 7+ years.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment — 7+ years.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment — 7+ years.
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) certification or higher is highly desired.
- Additional Microsoft certifications related to Power Platform, Azure, SQL Server, or cloud technologies are a plus.
