Senior GIS Data Engineer

Description:
- Role requires 7 years of relevant experience and expertise in enterprise database and linear referencing specific to datasets of this type including advanced database reporting creation and execution of QA/QC processes and enterprise database query.
- The client is seeking a Senior GIS Data Engineer that will support the long-term maintenance and enterprise integration of the clients’ Hydrography Layer a critical GIS dataset compiled by the clients’ Environmental Analysis Unit over the past five years.
- The dataset has reached a maturity level requiring migration into the Enterprise GIS environment and ongoing operation support until ownership transitions to NC Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ).
- The primary focus is to support the geometry event and attribute changes to the GIS data with additional responsibilities of data QA/QC progress reporting direct SQL Server Database query and Extract Transfer Load ETL process creation and maintenance during this period of management.
- The complexity of these responsibilities are essential to ensure accurate stable and reliable management of the Hydrography Layer within the enterprise environment.
