Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Database Security Engineer to support and enhance an enterprise Imperva Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) environment. This role will focus on maintaining monitoring coverage across critical database platforms, ensuring operational health, strengthening security policies, and automating routine monitoring activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, troubleshoot, configure, and maintain the Imperva DAM platform.
- Ensure monitoring coverage across Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, and Teradata environments.
- Monitor platform health and identify agent outages, logging gaps, anomalies, and other issues.
- Review security policies and baselines, identify policy drift, and recommend improvements.
- Automate health checks, monitoring validation, reporting, and other routine operational activities.
- Work with database teams and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Qualifications
- Experience with database activity monitoring and database security concepts; Imperva DAM/SecureSphere experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of enterprise databases, including SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, and/or Teradata.
- Experience with database auditing, logging, security policies, and anomaly detection.
- Scripting or automation experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, or similar technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and vendor management skills.
