SAP BRIM/FICA Functional Consultant

Description:
- The SAP BRIM Functional Consultant – FICA will support the PTC solution delivery team within the UBOS program by providing expertise in SAP BRIM and FICA processes.
- The consultant will be responsible for functional design, configuration, testing, data conversion support, cutover activities, post-go-live support, and collaboration with technical and business teams to ensure successful delivery and ongoing support of SAP BRIM/FICA capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Support PTC’s solution delivery team in coordinating SAP BRIM activities within the UBOS program.
- Deliver functional designs and configurations for BRIM and FICA capabilities, including payments, dunning, collections, account determinations, and CI/GL integrations.
- Lead functional testing efforts, review test scripts, validate results, and resolve defects across BRIM/FICA processes.
- Assist BRIM architects with configuration tasks, including business partner/contract account setup, correspondence, and event framework updates.
- Provide BRIM/FICA process expertise to the testing team for scenario design and test data creation.
- Support the data team with BRIM/FICA data mapping, translation rules, cross-reference maintenance, and open item conversion.
- Contribute to cutover planning, readiness activities, and FICA-related migration tasks.
- Maintain Azure DevOps work items, documentation, and progress tracking for BRIM/FICA deliverables.
- Provide post-go-live support for FICA processes including monitoring payment interfaces, dunning runs, settlement jobs, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with technical teams on enhancements, BRF+ rules, correspondence forms, and integration with external payment providers.
- Support audit and compliance activities by ensuring FICA configuration aligns with financial controls and reporting requirements.
- Fully document all work products, including technical and functional designs, diagrams, test plans, test scripts, impact analysis reports, lessons learned, and best practices according to Commission standards and templates.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with technology staff, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients.
- Lead and participate in project team activities related to enterprise systems.
- Work independently to accomplish assigned tasks and duties.
- Adhere to all Commission standards, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize software and technology tools required to perform job duties.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Experience supporting SAP BRIM and FICA implementations within enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of FICA processes, including payments, dunning, collections, interest, open item management, and CI/GL integration.
- Experience with BRF+, event framework, and FICA-related enhancements.
- Experience supporting testing, defect resolution, data conversion, and migration activities.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools.
- Experience documenting technical and functional deliverables.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM methodologies is beneficial.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- 8+ years of experience as a BRIM Functional Analyst with CI and/or FICA expertise.
- 3+ years of SAP BRIM experience.
- SAP S/4HANA BRIM certifications (BR230/BR234).
- Experience with Enterprise Business Solutions and SAP projects.
- Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM practices and methodologies.
- Experience with BRF+, event framework, and external payment provider integrations.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a BRIM Functional Analyst with CI and/or FICA expertise (8+ years preferred).
- Experience with at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation.
- Strong understanding of FICA processes, including payments, dunning, collections, interest, open item management, and CI/GL integration.
- Experience with BRF+, event framework, and FICA-related enhancements.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and Microsoft ADO Testing Module.
- Ability to support testing, migration, and post-go-live activities.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
- SAP S/4HANA BRIM certifications (BR230/BR234) preferred.
