Description:
- The Project Manager will manage all tasks and aspects throughout the project lifecycle to ensure they are completed on time and within scope and budget.
- The role includes defining, documenting, and managing project scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring compliance with VITA procurement and project management governance processes.
- The Project Manager will oversee project execution, stakeholder communication, risk management, financial planning, reporting, and documentation to support successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Define, document, and manage project scope, schedule, and budget
- Develop project charter and work plans
- Track budget and schedule progress using appropriate metrics
- Develop, maintain, and distribute project management artifacts, including risk assessments, project charters, RACI matrices, communication plans, schedules, and status reports
- Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and properly stored
- Manage projects within VITA procurement and governance processes
- Provide requirement elicitation, analysis, and documentation
- Ensure projects align with operational and financial needs of the agency
- Create and implement communication plans
- Keep stakeholders and staff informed of deadlines and deliverables
- Identify, track, and resolve risks, issues, and barriers
- Perform financial and administrative functions related to project execution
- Prepare financial and budget plans with the planning and finance departments
- Provide detailed project and expenditure reports to stakeholders and agency management
- Facilitate conference calls, status meetings, planning sessions, and meeting documentation
- Communicate project status throughout the project lifecycle
- Perform additional duties as assigned
