Programmer Analyst
*Local to Richmond, VA only please
*This is a hybrid position with 3 days/week onsite
*This is a 6 month contract position
Description:
- Seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Programmer Analyst 4 for the client.
- Will be responsible for providing web-based solutions and support to existing applications.
- The candidate will also possess skills in requirements gathering application design software development documentation and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Application integration as a core function of systems development to include experience and knowledge of designing developing and supporting applications using the following technologies:
- Oracle database 11g and above
- PL-SQL
- Unix Shell Scripting
- Documenting work to be performed. i.e. – requirements gathering design/analysis technical specifications code implementation and support.
- Developing and executing database queries to generate reports and aid in data analysis.
- Learning different technologies both currently in use and new.
- Working directly with programming staff and users to analyze and develop innovative applications for improving business operations within various departments.
- This may also involve learning different technologies – both currently in use and new.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Experience with Oracle database (11g and above), Required 7 Years
- Experience with PL-SQL, Required 7 Years
- Experience with Unix Shell Scripting, Required 7 Years
- Experience in requirements gathering, analysis, design, software evaluation, implementation planning, and testing., Required 5 Years
- Experience supporting additional languages such as Java, Required 3 Years
- Experience supporting additional technologies/methodologies such as Oracle Forms (10g and above), SQL Server, and web services/service oriented archit, Required 3 Years
- Experience working with a source control solution such as Revision Control System (RCS) or Team Foundation Server. (TFS), Required 3 Years
- Experience working with reporting technologies such as Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) etc., Required 3 Years
