Onboarding Specialist
*8-hour shifts from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Description:
- The HR Employment Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to selected candidates being hired across.
- This role serves as the first point of contact at HR Xpress for candidates being onboarded.
- The Onboarding Assistant ensures candidate completion of new hire paperwork including background check and work authorization forms.
- The OA is also responsible for keen verification of I-9 documents, accurate submittal of background and work authorization documents through 3rd party vendors in a timely manner.
- The Onboarding Assistant takes badge pictures and uploads them to the appropriate database.
- Lastly, the Onboarding Assistant will function as a representative for patrons, visitors, and/or staff of the hospital may ask for directions or other questions.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- 0-1 years of customer service experience in a call center or area with a high volume of telephone inquiries.
Independent action(s) Required:
- Must have an aptitude for technology and be comfortable working in many different systems.
- Excellent listening and communication skills with the ability to provide high-quality customer service.
- Must be team-focused, self-motivated, and work with a modest degree of supervision.
Able to multitask in fast fast-paced environment while being detail-oriented. - Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism under any situation is critical.
- Physical Requirements (includes use of assistance devices as appropriate): Physical Lifting less than 20 lbs.

Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- 1-2 years of Healthcare or Human Resources experience
- Phenomenal Customer Service skills
- Punctual and Dependable
- Strong Communication skills (in-person, phone, and email)
- Mult-tasker while maintaining Superb Organization
- Keen Attention to Detail
- Self-motivated and Independent Worker
- Technology/Computer skills (use of laptop and iPad, multi-line office phone)
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Some college coursework in HR or a related field
