We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to support two large-scale Medicaid technology initiatives within an enterprise eligibility environment. This role will lead release planning and coordination efforts across multiple program areas, ensuring alignment among state stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams.
This is a highly visible, client-facing role requiring strong governance discipline, cross-functional leadership, and experience operating in structured SDLC environments.
Location: Remote (Eastern or Central Time Zones required)
Travel: Up to 25% as needed
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise release planning and execution activities
- Serve as primary liaison for state agency and vendor stakeholders
- Develop and maintain release schedules, milestones, and dependency tracking
- Facilitate release governance meetings and ensure clear documentation of decisions and action items
- Track risks, issues, and change requests and drive resolution
- Ensure readiness across development, testing, training, and production deployment
- Provide concise executive-level reporting and status updates
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years supporting large-scale system implementation or release management efforts
- Direct experience supporting Medicaid Eligibility, Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES), MMIS, or comparable enterprise human services systems
- Experience working within structured SDLC environments
- Strong client-facing leadership and facilitation skills
- Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional dependencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
