Java Technical Lead

Description:
- The clients IT department is seeking a technical lead to support the project manager and technical project manager by handling technical responsibilities across multiple pipelines involved in the data modernization initiative for the client.
- This role involves providing expertise and guidance to ensure the successful execution of technical aspects within the project.
- This role will provide guidance and mentorship to developers perform thorough code reviews and promote a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Make certain that the team adheres to the project schedule and timeline maintains high-quality standards and produces code that is both reliable and efficient.
- Serve as the intermediary between developers product managers and stakeholders effectively translating requirements into clear technical tasks.
- Implement best practices and comprehensive documentation to enhance overall efficiency and streamline workflows.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Experience in modernizing legacy applications which should include refactoring/migrating in-house legacy applications to the cloud environment.
- Proficient in utilizing AWS services and related components towards building enterprise level Data Lakes.
- Experience in software development with hands-on skills in Java – strong JavaJ2EE Java Spring framework hibernate technology.
- Experience working with any transactional or RDMS databases
- Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools
- SQL – Writing Complex Queries understanding Database Relationships debugging and performance tuning
- ETL tools – Hands-on experience with cloud-based tool
- Understanding data modeling
- Knowledge / experience using any ETL tools experience with data analytics using PowerBI or AWS QuickSight etc. is plus.
- Must have experience/familiar with Agile/Scrum Framework environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to developers.
- Support project manager and technical project manager by handling technical responsibilities across multiple pipelines
- Collaborate with stakeholders to collect requirements and suggest effective modernization strategies.
- Support teams in designing developing and testing Java-based cloud-native applications and backend systems.
- Help teams design build and maintain ETL pipelines.
- Assist teams in analyzing data models and business requirements.
- Perform data validation by querying the database to ensure data is accurately inserted updated and deleted maintaining data integrity.
- Aid teams in designing creating and executing test cases.
- Support teams in validating back-end logic and data processing that may not be immediately visible through the user interface.
- Collaborate closely with developers and business analysts to understand data needs and guarantee thorough test coverage.
- Assist teams in using AWS services within application architecture.
- Help teams develop test debug and deliver projects on time using the best tools and practices.
- Assist teams with code reviews enforce security best practices and maintain clean efficient code.
- Support monitoring of application performance and optimize for cost security and reliability.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and challenges.
- Ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
- Work with product managers business stakeholders and team members to refine requirements and deliver solutions.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Proficient in using various AWS services (e.g., VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, API Gateway, Glue Crawlers, Athena) to build and manage cloud, Required 7 Years
- Experience leading and mentoring technical teams, Required 7 Years
- Experience in modernizing applications, including refactoring, migration, and cloud-native development., Required 7 Years
- Knowledge of modern database technologies and strategies for migrating and modernizing database systems, Required 7 Years
- Experience working with creating AWS ETL jobs, data pipelines with high volumes of data, Required 7 Years
- Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools, Required 7 Years
- Experience in software development with hands-on skills in Java – strong Java, J2EE, Java Spring framework & hibernate technology., Required 7 Years
- Experience with data analytics, business intelligence solutions (like Power BI or AWS QuickSight), Nice to have 2 Years
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders., Required 7 Years
- AWS Certification, Nice to have
