Healthcare Program Manager

Description:
Seeking a Healthcare Program Manager to lead strategic initiatives focused on population health, healthcare data integration, quality improvement, and stakeholder engagement. This role is responsible for driving project strategy, policy development, financial planning, partner collaboration, and program execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, project management, and relationship-building skills and will serve as a key liaison among internal teams, healthcare organizations, vendors, and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic initiatives focused on healthcare data utilization, population health, and quality improvement programs.
- Develop and execute program strategies, including planning for future phases and long-term program growth.
- Lead policy, operational, and financial strategy related to program initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies to support provider and stakeholder participation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare organizations, subject matter experts, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize feedback from internal and external stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Facilitate collaboration across business, operational, and healthcare-focused teams.
- Supervise and mentor supporting staff members.
- Manage budgets, contracts, invoices, and program-related financial activities.
- Communicate project goals, progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
- Support program monitoring, quality measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between program objectives, stakeholder needs, and organizational priorities.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Experience managing or supervising staff — 2+ years.
- Familiarity with healthcare programs, regulations, standards, and compliance requirements — 2+ years.
- Experience analyzing population health, care delivery, care management, quality improvement, or healthcare transformation initiatives — 2+ years.
- Understanding of clinical workflows, medical coding, and electronic health records (EHRs) — 2+ years.
- Understanding of digital quality measurement and healthcare performance metrics — 2+ years.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Understanding of data policy, healthcare data ecosystems, health information technology, program monitoring, quality measurement, and quality improvement — 3+ years.
- Experience leading large, complex projects — 3+ years.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills — 3+ years.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing — 3+ years.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple stakeholder needs — 3+ years.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word — 3+ years.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and collaboration skills.
- Experience developing strategic plans and facilitating cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to synthesize information and make data-informed recommendations.
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Health Informatics, Information Systems, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in public health (MPH), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or a related field is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant program management certifications are a plus.
