Environmental Specialist I
*This is a hybrid position with 2 days/week onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include managing waste shipping records (i.e. records for hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, PCB, and recyclable wastes and materials), report preparation, invoice processing and management, and purchase order management.
  • This position will assist with projects related to waste minimization, solid waste management or similar environmental programs.
  • In addition, this position will participate in data analysis, problem analysis, and assist with developing waste compliance strategies.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Processing payments and credits through internal accounts payables system
  • Managing and maintaining shipping papers, purchase orders, and other agreements along with report preparation and completion of special projects as assigned.
  • Requesting agreements for waste and recycling services.

Desired Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Candidate may have knowledge of Federal and state environmental and DOT regulations

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Logic and reasoning skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternatives, conclusions, or approaches.

  • Required Bachelor, also open to candidates who will graduate this year
