Electronic Technician III

Description:
- The client is looking for an Electronic Technician 3 to support our Avionics department.
- As a member of the Avionics Lab department, you’ll get to immerse yourself in the testing, assembly, and maintenance of advanced electronic systems that are crucial for mission-critical applications.
- You will actively engage with electronic assemblies, circuit boards, and test equipment, ensuring that these systems not only meet but exceed performance and quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electronic systems, components, and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair circuit boards, wiring, and other electronic components.
- Perform operational tests at environmental stress screening, vibration, and thermal levels to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Identify and isolate malfunctions down to the component level.
- Conduct defined engineering tests and collect assigned data.
- Document test results, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately.
- Perform complex IPC class circuit card surface mount rework, perform self-inspection of solder quality.
- Maintain compliance with all NGC CAT 2 Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) safety, quality, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) standards.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- 7 years of related experience or electronics training equivalent to 4 years of technical trade school or military technical school, Maintain AS9100 compliance and support internal and external audits.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Familiarity with surface mount soldering, digital/analog circuits, or embedded electronics. Experience with Component-level troubleshooting. Certified IPC-A-610 Class III Surface Mount.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt,
- Certified IPC Trainer: J-STD-001 (Space), IPC-A-610, IPC-WHMA-620 (Space), IPC- 7711/7721
