Fake job opportunities are being offered by individuals posing as recruiters of Astyra Corporation in order to fraudulently obtain personal information or payments from candidates.
The jobs may be advertised on one or more employment-search websites including social media outlets. The emails may look authentic, including details of the employment opportunity, such as job description, compensation and other benefits.
If you are approached by someone claiming to be an Astyra Corporation recruiter or hiring manager, please review our hiring practices below so you can be aware of potential scams.
Astyra will NEVER:
- Ask for sensitive or personal information via email, text or other forms of instant messaging.
- Interview you via email and/or send you a list of questions in lieu of an interview.
- Extend an offer without speaking to you via phone or video call.
- Request money for the opportunity to apply or work for Astyra (including fees that relate to pre-employment verification we will never charge the candidate).
- Ask for financial information during the recruiting process.
Legitimate email communication will only be done to and from @astyra.com email addresses. Please examine messages carefully to ensure this is the domain you are receiving messages from, as cybercriminals may utilize domains that look similar but may have one letter off (such as @as$tyra.com). When in doubt, please contact Astyra directly via phone.
If you believe you have been the victim of a crime related to one of these scams, please report the matter to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center for an investigation as well as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
