Database Administrator (Oracle)
*This is a 6-month contract position – Hybrid
Description
- Administers, maintains, develops, and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database.
- Implements data models and database designs, data access, and table maintenance codes.
- Resolves ERP database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
- May require a bachelor’s degree.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Works under general supervision and typically reports to a manager.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Strong DBA experience working with Oracle 19c and Oracle 26ai 10 years — Required
- Experience in supporting Databases in OCI 2 years — Required
- Experience in supporting Oracle databases on-premises: 2 years — Required
- Experience in Migrating Oracle databases to OCI 2 years — Required
- Experience in Migrating Oracle databases to OCI 1 year — Highly Desired
- Must be familiar with 19c Oracle RAC and ASM (Automatic Storage Management) on Linux 3 years — Required
- Must be familiar with Data Guard Physical Standby 3 years — Required
- Must have experience with RMAN backup and recovery 10 years — Required
- Other skills include export and import data pump utilities, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Performance tuning, Security, patching, and documentation 5 years — Required
- Must possess strong troubleshooting skills 10 years — Required
- Must have strong communication skills, verbally and in writing 10 years — Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 4 years — Required
- Experience supporting Linux or Unix System Administration, a bonus 3 years — Required
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification 3 years — Highly Desired
- Experience with MS SQL Server 2019 or newer: 3 years — Highly Desired
- 7 to 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area
