iOS Mobile Engineer
Astyra is seeking an iOS Engineer to support technology initiatives with our client. This individual will work in a fast-paced engineering environment developing mobile applications and will have the opportunity to contribute across multiple projects based on evolving business and technology needs.
The iOS Engineer will be a hands-on individual contributor focused on developing and enhancing native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI. The ideal candidate will have strong iOS development experience, be able to quickly ramp up in new environments, and be comfortable collaborating across teams and transitioning between projects as priorities evolve.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI
- Develop high-quality mobile solutions that follow established engineering best practices, design guidelines, and development standards
- Collaborate with engineers, product teams, UX/UI, and other technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality mobile experiences
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, troubleshooting, and Agile ceremonies
- Integrate mobile applications with APIs and backend services
- Identify technical challenges early and collaborate with the team to develop effective solutions
- Stay current with iOS, Swift, SwiftUI, mobile development practices, and emerging technologies
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and processes
- Adapt to changing project priorities and contribute effectively across different engineering teams and initiatives
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Professional software engineering experience with a focus on iOS application development
- Strong hands-on experience developing native iOS applications
- Strong experience with Swift
- Experience developing applications using SwiftUI
- Experience integrating mobile applications with APIs and backend services
- Experience with modern iOS development practices, tools, and frameworks
Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- 4+ years of iOS application development experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Swift development experience
- Strong experience with SwiftUI
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise-scale mobile applications
- Experience with modern iOS architecture, frameworks, libraries, and development practices
- Experience working within a large enterprise environment
- Experience with Agile development practices
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly, work independently, and transition effectively between projects and technical environments
