Senior AWS Developer
*This is an onsite position.
*Local to the Raleigh, NC area only, please.
*We are not considering Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements for this position.
Description:
- Our client is looking to hire a senior AWS developer with 10-15 years of software development experience.
- This role involves close collaboration with the data modernization teams to design, implement and manage AWS solutions.
- Extensive experience in developing/building AWS Data Lake formation, contributing extensively to design development and writing code.
- Experience in modernizing legacy applications which should include refactoring/migrating in-house legacy applications to the cloud environment.
- Proficient in utilizing AWS services and related components towards building enterprise level Data Lakes.
- Must have experience in Data Ingestion Storage Data Processing Transformation and working with AWS Machine Language using appropriate AWS services.
- Experience in customizing AWS ETL logic using Python code.
- Knowledgeable and experience in security and data governance covering areas such as fine-grained permissions managing user and service permissions data encryption auditing and compliance.
- Experience in software development with hands-on skills in Python scripting and any prior experience in Object oriented languages is a plus.
- Experience working with any transactional or RDMS databases
- Experience with DevOps DevSecOps Iac automation building CI/CD pipelines monitoring and logging.
- Knowledge / experience using any ETL tools experience with data analytics using PowerBI or AWS QuickSight etc. is plus.
- Must have experience/familiar with Agile/Scrum Framework environments.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective modernization strategies
- Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
- Acting as a trusted advisor to the technical team on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Develop test debug and deliver within timeline using best tools and best practices available.
- Ability to identify analyze and resolve technical issues and challenges.
- Designing and implementing complex scalable and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
- Identifies architectural risks and plans to mitigate risks
- Ensures adherence to standards and best practices
- Influences and communicates effectively with non-technical audiences including senior ITD and business stakeholders.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Proficient in using various AWS services (e.g., VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, API Gateway, Glue Crawlers, Athena) to build and manage cloud, Required 10 Years
- Data Processing & Transformation:AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, EMR, Athena, Amazon Managed Service for Apache Flink,AWS Step Functions, AWS SageMaker, Required 10 Years
- Data Ingestion & storage: S3, Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, Amazon Kinesis Data Firehouse, DMS, Required 7 Years
- Experience in modernizing applications, including refactoring, migration, and cloud-native development., Required 7 Years
- Knowledge of modern database technologies and strategies for migrating and modernizing database systems, Required 7 Years
- Experience working with creating AWS ETL jobs, data pipelines with high volumes of data, Required 7 Years
- Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools, Required 7 Years
- Experience in software development with hands-on skills in Java strong Java, J2EE, Java Spring framework & hibernate technology., Required 7 Years
- Experience with Agile/Scrum Framework environments., Required 7 Years
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders., Required 7 Years
