Description:
We are seeking a Field Technician 3 to support our Norfolk Flight OPS department. As a member of the Flight OPS department to support to provide technical assistance to the TAF RTBS at an unclassified level. 

Responsibilities:

  • Installs, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment.
  • Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
  • Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate the problem in minimum time.
  • Installs, upgrades, and removes products, ensuring coordinated engineering field change.
  • Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
  • May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
  • Performs a variety of maintenance, modifications, and technical support on E-2C Avionics and Electrical systems, equipment, integrated systems, and subsystems, at various customer and/or field locations.
  • Supports testing, exercises, and operations at OCONUS locations.
  • Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues. 
  • Installs, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment.
  • Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
  • Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate the problem in minimum time.
  • Installs, upgrades, and removes products, ensuring coordinated engineering field change.
  • Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
  • May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • An associate’s degree in an appropriate technical discipline and four (4) years of E2C specialized experience or a high school diploma and six (6) years of E2C Avionics and Electrical Systems experience.
  • Must be willing to travel OCONUS 100% of time.
  • A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Work may be done without established procedures.
