Cloud Developer

*We are not considering Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements for this position.
Description:
- You will be working with our more established contractors and staff to focus on several web and Windows applications used both by internal client staff and constituents of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- The candidate will need expertise as a programmer and designer for Cloud Services.
- Experience implementing and developing applications to interface with Service Oriented Architecture SOA and other offerings from the major Cloud Service Providers required.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for analysis design and coding for a new application. Individual must be able to work without assistance provide leadership for others and manage highly complex work efforts.
- Extensive industry experience is required with advanced education highly desirable. Will be involved in maintenance enhancement and development work.
- The candidate will need a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team.
- Works with the Business Analyst Application Architect and other Application Development Team members on an as-needed basis to ensure that design and code meet customer requirements.
- May also need to work with SaaS and Cloud service providers.
Skills:
- Azure App Services, Azure functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Storage (Blob, Table, Queue), Azure SQL/Cosmos DB, Required 7 Years
- Azure API Management, Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards), Identity & Access: Azure AD, OAuth2, OpenID Connect , Required 7 Years
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Modern frameworks: React, Angular, or Vue, State management: Redux, MobX, NgRx, or equivalent , Required 7 Years
- Responsive UI implementation (HTML/CSS), REST and GraphQL client-side integration, Required 7 Years
- NET Core / .NET 7+ or Node.js, Designing scalable REST APIs, Microservices architecture , Required 7 Years
- Event-driven design using Azure Event Grid, Service Bus, or Event Hubs, ORM experience (Entity Framework, Sequelize, Prisma, etc.) , Required 7 Years
- SQL Server and writing optimized SQL queries, NoSQL experience with Cosmos DB, Data modeling and schema design , Required 7 Years
- Integrations with Azure Data Factory , Nice to have 7 Years
- Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions, Infrastructure as Code: Bicep, ARM, or Terraform, Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (AKS), Required 7 Years
- Automated testing frameworks and test strategy design, Required 7 Years
- Strong understanding of distributed systems. Clean architecture, DDD, SOLID principles, API design standards and documentation (Swagger / OpenAPI), Required 7 Years
- Security best practices (OWASP, secure secrets management, zero trust principles) , Required 7 Years
- Ability to mentor developers and lead technical discussions, Comfortable with cross-team collaboration (security, QA, product, DevOps), Required 7 Years
- Strong problem-solving and architectural decision-making, Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders., Required 7 Years
- Ability to estimate work, plan sprints, and design technical roadmaps, Required 7 Years
