Senior Technical Project Manager

Description:
Seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale, complex technology initiatives involving multiple teams, parallel workstreams, and accelerated delivery timelines. This role is responsible for driving projects through the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery, stakeholder alignment, governance compliance, risk management, and achievement of business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical project leadership experience, cloud modernization expertise, vendor management capabilities, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in fast-paced enterprise environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead complex enterprise technology projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- Partner with development teams, architects, business leaders, infrastructure teams, and technology stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate and manage multiple project workstreams, resources, schedules, budgets, and dependencies.
- Facilitate collaboration among technical teams, business units, vendors, and governance stakeholders.
- Manage vendor, consultant, and contractor relationships, including performance monitoring, deliverable oversight, and contract coordination.
- Maintain project documentation, schedules, budgets, risk logs, issue trackers, metrics, and executive status reports.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project, technical, operational, security, and vendor-related risks.
- Ensure project solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, governance requirements, and best practices.
- Track vendor and third-party performance using established KPIs and service-level expectations.
- Manage project milestones, releases, change control activities, and deployment schedules.
- Coordinate testing activities, including test planning, test case development, execution tracking, and user acceptance activities.
- Support training, organizational readiness, user adoption, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
- Provide leadership for cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, application upgrades, and security remediation efforts.
- Support technical planning and decision-making involving infrastructure, databases, APIs, integrations, and enterprise applications.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Experience with cloud migration initiatives and cloud-based modernization programs.
- Familiarity with cloud migration tools and services.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence technologies, automation platforms, large language models (LLMs), and data-driven decision-making tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise architecture, governance, and security compliance initiatives.
- Experience managing infrastructure modernization and application migration programs.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Proven track record managing large-scale, complex technology projects, including budgets, schedules, and resource planning — 5+ years.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid cloud environments — 5+ years.
- Experience with automation technologies, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts — 5+ years.
- Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines — 5+ years.
- Project management experience utilizing Agile, Scrum, or PMP methodologies — 5+ years.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences — 5+ years.
- Strong leadership skills with experience guiding cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations — 5+ years.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills — 5+ years.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt to changing priorities in fast-paced environments — 5+ years.
- Experience coordinating testing, deployment, change management, and release management activities.
- Experience managing vendors, consultants, and third-party service providers.
- Understanding of enterprise infrastructure, databases, APIs, integrations, and application architectures.
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- PMP, Agile, Scrum Master, SAFe, or related project management certification preferred.
- Cloud-related certifications are a plus.
- Additional certifications in project management, DevOps, cloud technologies, or enterprise architecture are desirable.
