Senior IT Procurement Consultant

Job Description:
- SCC IT Sourcing / Procurement Consultant
- IT Sourcing Consultant needed within SCC’s Sourcing and Supplier Management Team
- Role requires ability to work independently as team leader in development and execution of sourcing strategies for assigned IT projects
- Assists customers in solving IT business problems through sourcing and procurement solutions
Responsibilities:
- Serve as IT Sourcing Consultant within SCC’s Sourcing and Supplier Management Team
- Work independently as team leader in development and execution of sourcing strategies for assigned IT projects
- Assist business customers in solving IT-related business problems through sourcing and procurement solutions
- Lead full sourcing lifecycle including creation of solicitation documents and evaluation of proposals
- Execute negotiation strategies with selected suppliers
- Lead evaluation and implementation of risk mitigation strategies
- Develop and manage contracts in the long-term best interest of the customer
- Manage customer expectations for project deliverables through clear and timely communication
- Conduct post-project lessons learned reviews to support knowledge transfer and improve customer satisfaction
- Manage multiple sourcing projects including complex IT contracts from initial request through executed contract
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and maintain strong customer service standards
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Manage complex work efforts – Required (8 Months)
- Deep industry experience in Procurement and Supplier Management – Required (8 Years)
- Experience with contract and vendor negotiation – Required (8 Years)
- Technical writing experience – Required (8 Years)
- Requirements gathering experience – Required (8 Years)
- Knowledge of Virginia public procurement laws – Desired (5 Years)
