Senior .NET Application Developer
*Local within 2 hours of Harrisburg, PA preferred
*This is a primarily remote position with onsite requirements when needed
*We are not considering Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements for this position
Description:
- The candidate’s primary responsibility will be to develop and support the clients’ web-based applications in Microsoft Technologies.
- The candidate will support the agency’s development efforts enhancements and incident resolution through Analysis Design development testing and documenting results using the Commonwealths Microsoft Azure DevOps Services ADS environment and by assisting in the preparation and publication of product release notes.
- He or she may be asked to develop test plans in the ADS environment to facilitate the end-user acceptance testing phase of product releases.
- The candidate should have a high degree of patience politeness organization and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- He or she should have a pleasant demeanor and will be in contact with individuals from all levels of the organization from clerical to executive.
- He or she may need to receive criticism and respond professionally.
- The candidate will work with other developers and analysts as part of a team.
- While the work is primarily done remotely the candidate should be available to visit and potentially spend multiple consecutive days at the worksite in the Harrisburg, PA area.
Responsibilities:
- Provides development and design efforts to meet user requirements.
- Defines test plans and criteria for acceptance for the technical components of an application.
- Ensures business requirements are supported by the technical solutions.
- Participates in detailed design and product test execution as required.
- Adheres to technical programming standards.

Preferred Education:
- 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Developing complex applications, Required 5 Years
- Developing web applications using VB.NET, ASP.NET MVC / .NET Core, Required 5 Years
- Demonstrated Experience in ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET Core Web API, Required 5 Years
- Demonstrated Experience in HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap and modern UI/UX principles, Required 5 Years
- Demonstrated Experience in developing SOAP based, RESTful APIs, Required 5 Years
- Demonstrated Experience in SQL Server or comparable RDBMS, Required 5 Years
- Demonstrated Experience in SSRS and SSIS, Desired 3 Years
- Relevant experience with source code management tool, Required 5 Years
- Relevant experience with Application Lifecycle Management tools like Azure DevOps Server (ADO/ADS) or JIRA, Highly desired 3 Years
- Understanding of public safety and criminal justice concepts and precautions, Desired 1 Years
- Understanding of training and certification concepts, Desired 1 Years
- Understanding of financial systems concepts, Desired 1 Years
- Exposure to Telerik .net UI controls, Desired 1 Years
- Demonstrated Experience in MS Office, Required 5 Years
