Senior BI Developer

Description:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Senior BI Specialist to design develop and maintain advanced business intelligence solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI T-SQL SSIS dimensional modeling and other Microsoft data tools with a strong ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience working with medical data and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations is a significant plus.
- This contractor will primarily support Electronic Health Records (EHR) requests and duties.
Responsibilities:
- Extensive work with medical data including HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Design and implement Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics and trends.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries stored procedures and views for efficient data retrieval and transformation.
- Build and maintain ETL processes using SSIS to integrate data from multiple sources into data warehouses.
- Apply dimensional modeling techniques to design and maintain scalable data models for analytics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver BI solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure data integrity security and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards when handling sensitive medical data.
- Maintain clean code bases and releases using GIT and ADO Pipelines.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in BI development and data analytics.
Proficiency in:
- Power BI DAX Power Query data modeling
- SQL Server T-SQL performance tuning
- SSIS ETL design and implementation
- Dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts
- Understanding of Microsoft ecosystem Azure Excel etc..
- Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
Additional would likes:
- Knowledge of Azure Data Services Data Factory Synapse Analytics.
- Exposure to data governance and security best practices.
