Senior Content Specialist

*This is a 6-month contract position
Description:
- As a content design contractor, you’ll combine your craft expertise with an understanding of our customers and the business to co-create innovative solutions to complex problems.
Responsibilities:
- Content Design Expertise: Leverage strong writing and understanding of user experience design skills to craft compelling, accurate and accessible digital content experiences; use appropriate tools, platforms, frameworks and design systems to create artifacts that may include content audits, taxonomy and terminology lists, content guidelines and patterns, content governance models and microcopy for websites, user interfaces, emails, push notifications and AI chatbot responses that support end-to-end user flows
- Human-Centered: Use data, research insights and creative problem-solving to support customer-centered design decisions across projects
- Business-Focused: Understand your product, processes and partner goals to recognize and bridge gaps between customer-centered solutions and business needs
- Problem-Solving: Work with your team and partners to gather feedback, understand the tech and data capabilities and emerging technologies in order to inform your work and navigate technical limitations
- Collaboration: Build relationships with cross-functional partners and continuously identify opportunities to collaborate, incorporating diverse perspectives to elevate project work and build trust
- Communication: Present work to diverse audiences using a human-centered approach, incorporating meaningful evidence and effectively articulating decisions
- The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating their process, results, and impact.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
1. Core Competencies
- Strong technical writing experience (100% of role)
- Ability to simplify complex, data-heavy concepts
- Experience writing for technical end-users:
- Data analysts
- Data engineers
- Data managers
- Internal enterprise users
2. UX / Content Design:
- Experience in content design, UX writing, or content strategy (min. 2 years)
- Proficiency in Figma:
- Must navigate files, edit text, comment, and ideally manipulate components
- Does not perform UI design, but works closely with designers
- Understanding of UX and accessibility principles
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Works with:
- Designers
- Product Managers
- Engineering Leads
- Researchers
- Data Analysts
- Must thrive in fast-paced, shifting-priority environment (“startup-like” inside Enterprise Data)
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in content design, content strategy, or UX writing
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
- Experience collaborating with product, tech and business partners
- Experience working in heavily regulated, data heavy problem spaces
- Technical Writing in Data/Technical Environments
- Experience Working Closely with UX Teams + Figma Proficiency
- Ability to Simplify Complex Concepts & Deliver High-Quality, On-Time Work
