Software Test Engineer

Description:
- The client is looking for a Test Engineer to support our Advanced Technology Software Engineering Team.
- As a member of the Software Engineering department, you’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, superconducting foundry engineers, and software engineers to make our technologies a reality.
- This position will serve on-site at Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) in Linthicum, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Stand-up software test architecture for a legacy COTS application
- Collaborate with developers, SM, and PO’s to identify critical tests
- Write and perform all tests to ensure quality software products prior to software release
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience
- Working knowledge in one of the following languages: C++, WinForms
- Experience in developing unit tests, refactoring code, and smoke tests
- Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Experienced in creating and deploying a test architecture for legacy applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team
- Utilized Atlassian software suite
- Experience working within an agile scrum framework
