Stockhandler
*This is a 1-year contract position (with the possibility to extend) – Onsite
High-Level Project Overview:
- Trash, Recyclables, and Disposal
- Manage cardboard – make sure all is put in the cardboard container and “just cardboard” for recycling
- Manage trash from unpacking – goes in a separate container
- Manage pallets – stacking, bundling, and shipment
- Manage fixture disposal – make sure that in the correct bin, bulbs, and capacitors are taken out
- Manage bulb separation, pacing, labeling, and shipment
Top 3 Required Skills:
- Can lift large/heavy items (70 lbs.)
- Drive forklift
- Climb ladder
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
- Ability to interact with others and to evaluate results.
- Good attendance record (i.e., arriving at agreed-upon time).
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Stock
- Assist with stock requirements – make sure you have enough for the crews to work
- Assist with unloading stock
- Manage stock locations – placing stock in the correct places
- Manage special orders – black fixtures, fixtures designated for one Muni are taken for others
Testing
- Test nodes coming in from the field for RMA
- Test bad fixtures before sending for RMA
Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- 2-3 years of related experience
- Energy/material handling or warehouse
Education:
- High School or GED
