Chatting With VCU’s EMBA Class

Ken Ampy, Sam Young and Bob Kelly chat virtually.

Astyra founders Ken Ampy and Sam Young spoke to the students in the Virginia Commonwealth University Executive MBA class. Professor Bob Kelly asked the two if they would speak on the longevity of their 23 year partnership, strategies employed over the years, and company culture. The hour long session was received very well and the duo will be considered for future sessions.

Congrats 2018 VCU Graduate!

Our Operations Admin and Executive Assistant, Tianna Mosby, graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) earlier this month.

“It was hard work but definitely worth it! I couldn’t have achieved this without my large support system and amazing professors,” Tianna said.

Tianna studied Mass Communications with a focus on Print, Online and Broadcast Journalism. Throughout her college years, she received many scholarships and honors based on her writing and her dedication to education. She is most proud of her recent accomplishment of getting published in the Washington Post!

Congratulations Tianna!

Brittany Brown came from a cheerleading background, and just couldn’t refuse Astyra’s President, Sam Young when he requested that she help coach a cheerleading squad with the Wells Athletic Association.
Brittany truly enjoyed the experience and she commented, “Not only did I have the opportunity to work with talented girls who were doing something I love, the exercise didn’t hurt either!”
