Technical Writer II
*This position is primarily remote with occasional onsite visits
Description:
- The primary objective of this engagement is for the selected candidate to serve as the Technical Writer 2 for the EDW supporting the analysis and reporting needs of the client and DDAP the existing EDW as well as the design and construction of the new EDW in Azure.
- The Technical Writer 2 is an advanced level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in requirements analysis and documentation and coordinating communications and project tasks while acting as liaison between customer program areas and the EDW team.
- This position develops and maintains user business requirements technical documentation and project process documentation in support of the EDW production systems and projects.
- This position understands the users view and technical concepts of applications and provides expertise structuring procedures in a logical sequence.
- This position will work with public health professionals’ business analysts application developers database and system administrators to achieve project objectives – including delivery dates cost objectives quality objectives and program area customer satisfaction objectives.
- There are several exciting projects underway including moving the data warehouse into Azure the clients’ Data Modernization Initiative and the Reporting Hub.
Responsibilities:
- Complete weekly timesheet reporting in PeopleFluent/VectorVMS by COB Friday.
- Complete weekly project status updates in Daptiv when necessary.
- Provide weekly personal status reporting by COB Friday submitted on SharePoint.
- Publish and present design reports maintain documentation on project SharePoint sites.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Experience working in the public health or healthcare industry with various health applications and data.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Experience with eliciting, analyzing, specifying, and validating the business needs of stakeholder business units, Required 5 Years
- Experience conducting interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, etc., Required 5 Years
- Develops, enhances, and maintains user and technical documentation for multiple applications, Required 5 Years
- Experience translating customer requirements into functional and technical requirements in a clear manner, Required 5 Years
- Experience with creating process models, specifications, diagrams, wireframes, and charts to provide direction to the development team, Required 5 Years
- Experience communicating, coordinating, and performing as liaison between stakeholder business units and the development team, Required 5 Years
- Ability to balance work between multiple projects and possess good organizational skills, Required
- Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and effectively with colleagues, and as a member of a team, Required
- Ability to present complex technical concepts and data to a varied audience effectively, Required
- Experience working in the public health or healthcare industry with various health applications and data., Highly desired
