Mentor technicians on nonconforming product/material discovered during inspection to include engineering requirements, how to identify the nonconformance and process improvement. Develop, promote, and maintain collaborative team environment with fellow inspectors, support organizations and customers. Lift paper boxes weighing from 10lbs to 50lb and load/unload rolls of paper weighing approximately 600 lbs. Carry stacks of opened printed output/card stock and forms. Load stacks of paper onto large laser and impact printers Push carts loaded with paper/forms. Walk to and from printers for approximately 8 hours. Have hearing sufficient to hear abnormal noises indicating problems or machinemalfunctions. Communicate both verbally and in writing with other employees. Work permanent shifts in an 8-hour, 5 day a week environment. Job Information Temperature controlled computer room. 72 degrees Fahrenheit and 50% humidity year-round. Equipment (machines, devices tools, etc.; used in job performance). Job 28420: Community Health Worker - Gaston County, North Carolina   Summary Description Astyra is looking for Community Health Workers who reside in Gaston County to coordinate events with local organizations to promote the health and wellbeing of community members. Events may include COVID vaccine clinics, handing out PPE, and tabling at events. The Community Health Worker is responsible for scheduling events, coordinating with all parties, staffing for events, and ensuring events run smoothly. The outreach activities, including events, are designed to help provide community members with health-related education and to connect them to resources in their area.    This is a hybrid position that requires a good internet connection and a quiet workspace when at home. 30%-50% is remote work with 50%-70% field work. Fieldwork requires travel by personal car. When in the field, mileage is reimbursed. All Community Health Workers are required to take a Community Health Worker certification course through a local community college. The cost of the course and the certification are covered! All PPE is provided.   Responsibilities: Ensure the responsible delivery of comprehensive services to community members. Conduct general assessments and provide education and support based on individual needs. Increase health knowledge and self-sufficiency of community members through a range of activities such as outreach, community education, informal counseling, social support, and advocacy. Conduct research into local organizations to determine their interest in Community Health Worker services and communicate with them to plan services, such as events. This includes canvassing, cold calling, emailing, and attending scheduled meetings with representatives of local organizations. Participate in the interdisciplinary case reviews for collaborative assessment and coordination planning to ensure quality care. Assist Lead, Supervisor, and/or Manager in ensuring achievement of contractual financial obligations, including service delivery in a cost-effective and efficient manner and through the support of budgetary adherence by reporting accurate and timely work hours and expenses incurred during the course of position duties. The list of accountabilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties that management may deem necessary from time to time. May require work in the evening or on the weekend as needed to cover events. However, there is no overtime.   Qualifications Associates degree (or higher) in a health-related field and/or medical assistant training or higher, strongly desired HS Diploma or GED required 2-4 years of experience in Care Coordination or Field Environment, preferred (CNA experience a plus!) 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare schedule is a nice to have, but not required Bilingual (Spanish), strongly desired
