Astyra is seeking an Interim Functional Analyst for our client to augment staff for day-to-day operations during the period of selection and implementation of a new financial system. The appropriate candidate will be reporting to the Application Manager when on duty. Duties include: Understanding the business processes that underly the financial systems functionality To identify/define application problems by conferring directly with users and evaluating procedures, processes and the adequacy of the functionality. Developing of solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative workflows and technical/programming requirements. Validation of results by testing programs prior to acceptance testing. Training users in the preferred/optimal manner of operating the financial system Create/maintain financial reports based on user specifications, troubleshoot all reporting related issues and provide support to users Provide user aids by writing and/or updating reference documentation.   Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or substantially equivalent field for the purpose of the position. A degree in Accounting or similar field is acceptable, if work experience with financial systems is sufficient. 5+ years’ experience supporting enterprise-wide financial systems through programming changes and technical support. Demonstrated experience with application support of financial system modules, such as Accounts Payable, Procurement, Billing, General Ledger, Fixed Assets and Budget. Demonstrated experience working within the Windows operating system and defining programming requirements within MS SQL server databases Demonstrated experience with report tools, such as Business Objects, Cognos ReportNet, SSRS Demonstrated ability to identify, investigate and resolve technical system issues. Clear and professional verbal and written communications skills Demonstrated attention to detail Ability to work independently and prioritize to achieve multiple objectives Demonstrated competence of personal productivity software such as Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, and Outlook) at least at an intermediate level Preferred skills and experiences: Maritime industry experience Experience with the Infor and Microsoft suite of financial system modules Experience in a corporate accounting environment Maintenance of certificates of expertise pertaining to related application

Clinical Pharmacy Technician

Astyra Corporation is seeking a qualified Clinical Pharmacy Technician to assist in a new development with our Healthcare Client. Astyra is looking for someone who has experience evaluating and authorizing approval of prior authorization pharmacy requests from prescribers received by telephone and/or facsimile using client clinical criteria. We are looking for someone who is available Monday-Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM.  Essential Functions: Determines appropriateness for medications. Communicates decision to physicians, physician’s office staff, medical management staff and/or pharmacists. Researches, resolves and documents prior authorization outcomes in pharmacy system. Communicates selected prior authorization criteria, pharmacy benefit coverage and formulary alternatives to physicians, physician’s office staff, medical management staff and/or pharmacists. Escalates requests to Pharmacist when request requires extensive clinical review or denial. Researches, resolves and documents physician or client inquiries and grievances and provides verbal or written results to client, prescriber, provider and/or management. Performs other duties as required. License and Certifications: CPT - Certified Pharmacy Technician Pharmacy, PTCB - Pharmacy Technician Certification Requirements:  The appropriate candidate MUST have either a GED, High School GED, OR a High School diploma. This is a hard requirement.  CPT - Certification/licensure in accordance with state requirements. In the states of Florida and Michigan, license registration with the Board of Pharmacy is required without exception. PTCB - Certification or the ability to obtain PTCB Certification within one year of hire. Employees in states which require a Pharmacy Technician certification exam may substitute state certification for the PTCB. Specialty or retail pharmacy industry experience, previous reimbursement experience, and/or working in a health plan/health care setting. In-depth knowledge of specialty injectable prescription drugs, disease states, health plan formulary management techniques, medical terminology and current diagnostic and reimbursement coding (J/Q codes, ICD-9, CMS 1500, etc.). Proficiency in Pharmacy computerized systems and software applications, as well as MS Office Product Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to follow clinical criteria and instructions to approve prior authorization requests. Ability to identify and trouble-shoot problematic issues. Minimum of 6 months dispensing or retail experience required, or equivalent internal training will be substituted. The available shift for this position is: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with flexible break options.
