The Pharmacy Technician II, under direct supervision of a pharmacist working within certified non-hazardous and hazardous clean rooms, performs the aseptic and sterile compounding of medication preparation, record keeping and inventory control. The Pharmacy Technician II tasks are subject to be adjusted according to schedule needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assists with the preparation of medication orders by compounding under supervision of a pharmacist. Checks all orders for completeness of information. Verifies patient information and proper physician authorization. Under direct supervision, admixes drugs as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner as per department guidelines, and preparing all drugs within USP 797/800 guidelines and interoffice guidelines.
